Use of retargeting tools

On our website https://www.hub.berlin/ we use retargeting technology. We use retargeting to categorize website visitors in user groups. Based on the respective user group, we then approach website visitors on other websites or in apps with individualized advertising for our products and services.

For this, we use the following products, which are made available to us by service providers:

"Facebook Custom Audience" / "Facebook Pixel"

"Google AdWords User Lists" / "Google Dynamic Remarketing"

"Facebook Custom Audience" / "Facebook Pixel"

"Facebook Custom Audience" and "Facebook Pixel" are products of Facebook Ireland Ltd., Hanover Reach, 5-7 Hanover Quay, Dublin 2, Ireland ("Facebook"). Our website uses a "Facebook Pixel" from Facebook which creates a direct connection to the Facebook servers. The Facebook server thus receives the information that you have visited our website. Facebook associates this information with your personal Facebook account, if you have such an account and are logged into it. If you visit other websites which also use "Facebook Custom Audience" / "Facebook Pixel", this information is also linked to your user account. However, we are not able to see what other websites you visit. If you are not logged into Facebook while you visit our website or if you are not a Facebook user, your visit to the website is not associated with a Facebook user account.

For more detailed information about way to protect your personal environment on Facebook, please refer to the data privacy instructions from Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/. In particular, The Activity log tool enables you to manage the content and information you have shared by your use of Facebook, or you can download this data with the "Download your data" tool from Facebook.

"Google AdWords User Lists" / "Google Dynamic Remarketing"

"Google AdWords User Lists" and "Google Dynamic Remarketing" are products of Google Ireland Ltd, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4. Ireland ("Google"). Our website uses a pixel provided by Google which creates a direct connection to the Google servers. The Google server thus receives the information that you have visited our website. Google associates this information with a unique ID which is stored on your end device in the form of a cookie or is supplied by your end device ("Advertising ID" on smartphones). If you visit other websites which also use "Google AdWords User Lists" / "Google Dynamic Remarketing", this information is also linked to your unique ID. However, we are not able to see what other websites you visit.

Objection / Opt-out

You can object to the use of any or all of the retargeting tools on our website at any time. To do this, please follow the links below:

"Facebook Custom Audience" / "Facebook Pixel" opt-out

"Google AdWords User Lists" / "Google Dynamic Remarketing" Browser-Plug-in

We store one opt-out cookie with unlimited validity period per tool on your respective end device. If you use our website with several end devices, you must object to the use of retargeting tools for each end device, since we cannot allocate multiple end devices to single users. Your objection suppresses the pixel concerned, and data is not exchanged with Facebook or Google as the case may be.

You can also deactivate the playback of personalized advertising at the advertising networks themselves. You can find information about this on the Google and Facebook websites themselves, for example.

In order to make our information more user-friendly, we have implemented additional functions. These include the Google Maps map function, with which you can plan your journey to the event site.
