General

  • Can I participate as a Bitkom non-member?

    Yes, you can be part of the business festival even if your company isn't a Bitkom member. If you are interested in becoming a Bitkom member please contact Nadja Strauchmann (n.strauchmann@bitkom.org).

  • How do I become a Bitkom member?

    Please contact our colleague Nadja Strauchmann (n.strauchmann@bitkom.org) for further information.

  • Where will the event be held?

    Hub.berlin and #BAS20 will take place in Berlin, Germany. Our location is STATION Berlin (Luckenwalder Str. 4-6, 10963 Berlin). Next to the location is the metro station "U-Bhf Gleisdreieck" with the underground line U1/U2.

  • Is there a parking spot nearby?

    There is a car park approx. 500 meters away from the location, but parking space is limited. We recommend using public transport in Berlin.

  • How do I order a taxi to hub.berlin & BAS20?

    You can call one of the common numbers e.g. +49 30 202020 or +49 30 443322 and ask for a taxi to STATION Berlin (Luckenwalder Str. 4-6, 10963 Berlin). Of course, you can use as well apps like MyTaxi or Uber in Berlin. If you need further assistance, please ask at the reception for help. 

  • Where can I find the programme of the event?

    The programme you will find on our home page (https://www.hub.berlin/) or in the Event app. There will be no printed sheets at hub.berlin and #BAS 2020. Please note that the construction of programme is still in progress and will be released between February and March 2020.

  • For whom is the event?

    hub.berlin is welcoming everybody. Nevertheless, it is aimed at B to B contacts operating in technology and digitization. In 2019, 52% of our attendees were C-Level contacts. On 2nd April 2020 will be our recruiting day with special offers for students and young professionals. Startup companies get the chance to apply for a free limited ticket.

    If you want to experience live networking, high-class talks, inspirations for your daily business and want to know who and what will drive our future: You are welcome to join.

  • Do you have any hotel recommendations?

    On our home page (https://www.hub.berlin/page/plan-your-trip) you will find different Hotel Partners, such as NH and Novum. 

  • May I also visit the Club Night with my event ticket?

    Yes, it is possible to enter the Club Night with your hub.berlin and #BAS20 ticket. We are looking forward to see you there!

  • Do I have to register for workshops?

    To get access to the Masterclasses you need to register yourself for an extra ticket. You have to show the ticket before you access to the Masterclass at the hub.berlin & #BAS20.

  • Is the event wheelchair accessible?

    The entry of STATION-Berlin is barrier-free. There are several toilets to be used barrier-free. The whole event is set on the same floor.

  • Whom can I contact if I have any questions?

  • I couldn't make it. Will there be a live stream?

    There will be no live stream of hub.berlin. Nevertheless, the keynotes and speeches at the main arenas will be uploaded on our YouTube-Channel after the event.

Participants

  • Do you have a dress code?

    The dress code is business casual.

  • Where do I find my ticket?

    After booking your ticket on the website, you will receive an Email with your ticket from Xing Events. If you are not able to find it, please check your spam folder or contact us here.

  • Can I register on site?

    Yes, if there is no other possibility, you can also register on site. Please be aware that you might to wait a few minutes. It will be faster to register on the website. 

  • How do I cancel my ticket and can I transfer the ticket to someone else?

    If you can't attend hub.berlin and #BAS20, you can change the attendee free of charge. If you have to cancel your ticket, please contact soeren@hub.berlin. Please note that cancellation fees occur. Further information can be found in our GTC.

  • What are the payment options?

    The following payment options are available: Credit card, Direct debit, PayPal, Invoice, Prepayment. 

  • How do I register on the App? What is included in the agreement to use the app?

    After agreeing to join the networking app in the ticket buying process, you will get an invitation via Mail to the given email address a few days prior to the event. If you didn't receive an invitation email, please send a message to frederick@hub.berlinFind all information regarding the AI data processing here.

  • I have not accepted to use the app, can I register later?

    If you haven't agreed to join the app, you can still create an account yourself with an individual event code. Please send a message to frederick@hub.berlin to receive your personal event code.

  • The app doesn't work / I have trouble with it.

    If you have any further questions or find errors within the app, please refer to the Swapcard support here or send a direct message to frederick@hub.berlin.

  • What is the WLAN password?

    The Wi-Fi password will be published 2 days before the event on the homepage and on the app as well as given at the info point on the venue. 

  • Will there be childcare on site?

    There will be a childcare at hub.berlin and #BAS20. Please note that you need to register your child before the event over following document. The spaces for children are limited.

  • Can I charge my mobile phone on the event?

    Yes, you can charge your mobile phone on site. There will be mobile charging stations in the location.

  • Do you provide German or English translations?

    The Conference will be held in English. There will be no translation into German.

  • Where can I redeem my code?

    Just enter our ticket shop here. If you scroll down, you can find different ticket categories. Under these you can find a button named "Enter Promo Code". Here you can fill in your promotion code.

Partners

  • I am interested in several Bitkom events. Are there any discounts for multiple bookings?

    Partners who sponsor more than one Bitkom event are eligible for the Bitkom Live Partner Discount. For further information and to receive an offer please contact j.fischmann@bitkom-service.de.

  • What is part of my partner package?

    We have several partner packages that adapt to your needs. For more information, please check our partner page here.

  • Is it possible to send packages in advance?

    You can send packages to:

  • Where can I redeem my partner codes?

    Just enter our ticket shop. If you scroll down, you will find different ticket categories. Under these you can find a button named "Enter Promo Code". Here you can fill in your partner code. 

  • Can the partners pass free tickets to business clients?

    As partner of hub.berlin and #BAS20 you will get a promotion code for your business clients. Primarily your partner tickets are for your company. But please feel free to give some of your partner tickets to your business clients if you do not need them all.

  • I would like to know how many people were at our booth. Do you have Lead Scanning?

    For partners there will be the possibility to get access to the Lead-Scanning service in the event app. The access costs 400€  and you can contact Jan Fischmann under jan@hub.berlin for further information.

  • I entered my promotion code incorrectly. What should I do?

    No worries, we will sort this out. Therefore, please contact Soeren Keup via soeren@hub.berlin with further information about the company, code and your person. Thank you!

  • Will the presentations be published afterwards?

    After hub.berlin 2020 and #BAS20, the presentations will not be published afterwards. We publish some selected videos of the hub.berlin and #BAS on Youtube

  • Will there be photos or footage of the event?

    Each stand and each booth will be photographed by us during the event and sent to the companies at a later stage. 

Speakers

  • I'm a speaker. Which information do you need?

    We will need your photo (high resolution color picture), a short CV in English, your social media handles, your presentation title, a short abstract describing your talk. All the information will be published on the event website.

  • Is it possible to use my own laptop?

    No, the use of your own laptop on stage is not possible. Your presentation will be handled via the on-site technician. Your presentation will be checked by us and sent to the technician beforehand.

  • Which format should the presentation have? And by when should the presentation be submitted?

    Please prepare your slides in 16:9 format and send it to our events team.  There will be a deadline which will be communicated within the speakers' guidelines. The guidelines will be sent to you at least 2 weeks prior the event.

  • Do speakers need a ticket?

    No, you will be registered by us.

  • I'm a speaker. When do I have to be there and where will I find photos of me later?

    Please be at the stage technician's desk (FOH) at least 15 min prior your talk. Your photos will be published on the event website after the hub.berlin and #BAS20.

Startups

  • What is the Innovators’ Pitch?

    The Innovators’ Pitch is a competition for startups in Europe. Entrepreneurs get the chance to present their innovative products and prototypes to a high-level jury and an expert audience.

  • How do I apply for the Innovators’ Pitch & what will be the prize?

    Just send us your pitch deck including some information such as e.g. your business concept, information about your product, your USP. Your Pitch deck should be in English.

    You can win €5,000 in cash and a free Bitkom Get Started membership. You can win meeting top-notch potential business partners and investors and of course an exclusive pitch at your high-level partners VCs.

  • What will happen after I apply?

    Our jury looks through all applications and will choose three finalists for each category. These finalists have the chance to pitch on the main stage of hub.berlin 2020.

  • Do Startup Partner packages exist? Do I need to be a GetStarted member to get the discounts?

    Startups which are members of GetStarted are getting 50% off the normal prices. Moreover, we are creating an own Get Started Area at hub.berlin, for which we are having special offers. Please get in contact with Jan Fischmann (j.fischmann@bitkom-service.de).

    In order to enjoy our startup discounts, you have to be a member of GetStarted. For further information about our GetStarted membership, please contact Nadja Strauchmann (n.strauchmann@bitkom.org).

  • Are there discounts for Startups?

    If you are not a member of Get Started, you get the chance to apply for a free ticket to join the event as a visitor, and we will publish your logo and company info at our home page. We have limited access for Startup. You can apply here for a ticket: https://www.hub.berlin/startups
