Introducing AI solutions into Industrial Production – Requirements, Good Practices and Lessons LearnedJohn McCarthy Stage
This presentation will give an overview of an industrial perspective on artificial intelligence (AI). Common misunderstandings between the IT and engineering domain will be laid out and methods to address these communication issues shown. The audience will understand different roles of companies related to AI business and it will also be highlighted that it is important to understand one’s own role for successfully participating in AI ecosystems. Furthermore, requirements on the introduction of technical AI systems into the industrial production will be explained. The crucial role of trust between AI providers, enablers and users will be highlighted and good practices how to build up this trust will be shown. In the end a structured process for the collaborative development of industrial AI solutions – from customer value over data analyses to software deployment – will be presented and supported by sharing of lessons learnt along real-world examples.
