Dirk Wagener is Chief Digital Officer (CDO) at Cornelsen.

As an established authority in the digital field, Dirk Wagener’s expertise includes the management of digital marketplaces, the development of digital business models and strategies, and the digital transformation of traditional brands. His career includes positions in corporate strategy, sales & marketing and product management at Bertelsmann, eBay and Skype. He co-founded a digital school for teaching and learning musical instruments. His operational experiences spans growth business management, as well as business transformation. As General Manager at Mercateo, Dirk Wagener contributed to the successful development to one of the largest European digital B2B marketplaces. As a Vice President of Marketing and customer service, he led the digital transformation of the Nemetschek Group-owned company Allplan.
Dirk Wagener holds an BSC in Communication Science from the University of Arts, Berlin, as well as an MBA from London Business School.
