Prof Dr Martin Spindler
Prof Martin Spindler is Professor of Statistics at the University of Hamburg.
He obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Munich and before joining the University of Hamburg he was a researcher at the Max Planck Society, Boston College and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). His research interests are Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, both theory and applications. In particular he is interested in how ML and AI can be used for causal inference. He is head of "Big Data & Digital Health" at the Hamburg Center of Healt Economics. Together with leading researchers in ML and AI he founded Economic AI which offers research-based state-of-the-art statistical and econometric methods for analysing data using ML and AI. In the past we have successfully conducted projects with Amazon.com, Carlsberg Group, Didi, Microsoft Research, State Street Corp. and many others.
