Xenofon Floros holds a PhD in computer science from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH Zurich).
He graduated with honors as an electrical and computer engineer from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) and is currently in Frankfurt, working as a data scientist in Quoscient, a cyber security firm. Xenofon is fascinated by working on real-word problems, always searching for the appropriate problem formulation and the optimal machine learning algorithms to come up with a statistically correct solution. He has successfully addressed projects in various domains, ranging from efficient large-scale simulation of dynamical systems to graph-based segmentation of biomedical images, and from implementing business intelligence decision support systems to building classifiers to predict Type2 diabetic cases. In the last two years he focuses in applications in the field of cyber security.
